Over that past few weeks I have looked for some information on varoius transmission ideas and concepts and found these following websites interesting.

ZeroShift

ZeroShift is a type of hydraulically operated manual transmission which has high efficiency when shifting comparied to common manual transmissions since it allows for instantaneous shifting without torque loss.

Lestran IVT Official Product Website

The above website it the actual website for the Lestran IVT. You can find lots of information reguarding this new type of transmission which has an efficiency near 98%. The IVT uses reciprocated masses to vary torque output.

Lestran IVT by Dalhousie University

The above website is from Dalhousie University as they have been using the IVT on their Baja cars in years past.
